What is manufacturing intelligence?
It is a reasoning layer over the material an incident actually leaves behind -- footage, documents, records, recorded conversations -- rather than another dashboard. The point is to answer what happened and why, with the evidence attached.
Does it connect to our PLC, SCADA or MES?
Not through named connectors today. Integration is via REST APIs, webhooks and the workflow node catalog, so joining plant telemetry is a project to scope rather than something to switch on. Treat any claim otherwise with suspicion, including ours -- confirm it against your own systems before designing around it.
What can it correlate today?
Content the platform holds or can ingest -- video, audio, documents, images and their extracted text -- together with external events passed in as triggers. The correlation the platform performs on an external signal is resolving which cameras covered that zone at that moment; the external system remains the detector.
How is this different from asking a general AI assistant?
A general assistant answers from what it was trained on. This answers from your own material, using retrieval over the case record, and shows the source each statement came from. Where it lacks grounding it escalates rather than producing a plausible answer.
Does the investigation hold up afterwards?
That is the point of putting it on an evidence platform rather than a chat tool. Material is held with chain of custody, access is audited, and a disclosure copy can be de-identified while the original stays intact.
Can a person stay in control of it?
Yes. Workflows are drawn rather than coded, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints hold them at the steps that need a decision.
Can it run inside our environment?
Yes, including fully air-gapped with self-hosted models, for sites where nothing may leave.
