What is a digital evidence management system?
A system that ingests digital evidence from every source an agency holds, stores it under access control and retention policy, records an unbroken chain of custody, and produces disclosure packages. It replaces shared drives, disc burning and per-vendor evidence portals with one repository.
Does it work with cameras we already own?
Yes. It is vendor-agnostic by design: body-worn and in-car cameras, CCTV, interview room systems and forensic tools from Axon, Motorola, Panasonic, Genetec, Milestone, Utility and others. Evidence is stored in its original format, so there is no lock-in to reverse later.
How is chain of custody proven?
A SHA-384 hash is recorded at ingest and verified on demand against that value. Audit logs cannot be edited or deleted, WORM storage is available for records that must not change, and every access, download and change is recorded against the file.
Can it meet CJIS and FedRAMP requirements?
Deployments are CJIS Security Policy-aligned and can run on FedRAMP High-authorized infrastructure, either a partner's authorized environment or Azure Government with agency sponsorship. VIDIZMO holds no independent FedRAMP authorization. FIPS 140-3 validated cryptographic modules are used on supported infrastructure.
Can it run disconnected?
Yes. It deploys as shared or dedicated SaaS, into your own cloud subscription, on-premises, hybrid, or fully air-gapped. In air-gapped deployments the AI stack runs entirely on local models.
How does redaction fit in?
Redaction is licensed as Redactor on the same platform, so it works on the same library, under the same permissions, and writes into the same audit trail. A redaction is part of the record rather than an event in a separate tool.
