AI for Automotive

The missing part caught at the station, not at the end of the line

Automotive plants run on takt, error-proofing and the same method at every plant. AI Live Insight checks assembly at the station on the cameras you already own, every flag arrives with the clip from that station for the 8D, and video standard work gives every shift and every plant the same method to run and to audit against.

For OEM and supplier plants, on your own servers.

Built for Your Plant

Trained on your parts, your variants and your stations

No two lines build the same thing the same way. Detection for your own parts, variants, defects and steps is trained on footage from your cameras, under your lighting, against your own quality standard.

Your parts and variants

Variants, colors, trim and option content built on the same line.

Your defect list

What ships and what fails, including customer-specific requirements that differ from one customer to the next.

Your standard work

The steps, sequences and changeovers your best crew already runs at each station.

Your stations

The stations, cells and docks your cameras watch, with every flag sent on to your systems through the REST API and webhooks.

Where the Numbers Move

Five numbers your plant already reports

Safety

$48,000 per medically consulted work injury, in economic cost to society (NSC Injury Facts, 2024).

Missing PPE, restricted-zone entry, fire and smoke flagged on every shift, with the clip kept for the EHS file. Forklift aisles are trained for your plant.

Quality

At the station, not at end of line.

Visual checks at the station. Missing or misplaced parts are flagged where they happen, and every flag arrives with the clip, ready for 8D or CAPA.

Throughput

Every shift, the same method.

Standard work at every station. The best crew’s method becomes the standard on every shift and at every plant, and drift from it is flagged on the cameras you already have once detection is trained for your plant.

Cost

No new cameras.

Uses the cameras you already own. They cover every shift instead of a sample, and training reaches every plant without flying trainers between sites.

Downtime

11% of revenue lost to unplanned downtime at the world’s 500 largest companies (Siemens, 2024).

Every camera is recorded continuously, so the minutes before a line stop are on video whether or not an alert fired. Root cause starts from the recording, not from memory.

What the platform contributes to IATF 16949 work

8D and CAPA

Every flag arrives with the clip from that station at that minute, so containment and root cause start from what the camera saw.

Layered process audits

Video standard work gives each layer of the audit the method to check against, and continuous recording lets a finding be reviewed against the shift it came from.

Operator training records

Work instructions with quizzes, completion recorded per person and a certificate of completion, for the training evidence your quality system keeps.

What stays with you

The platform does not certify or audit your plant against IATF 16949 or a customer's requirements. Your error-proofing, torque tools and quality system stay in charge, and camera flags support your people rather than replace their judgment.

Connected to Your Plant Systems

Events reach your other systems as they happen

Your MES, quality, maintenance and EHS systems stay the systems of record. The platform tells them when something happens, so they act on an event instead of polling for one.

Webhooks on the events you choose

A catalog of 169 event types in 40 categories, from AI Live Insight detections and fired monitors to quiz, course and content events. Subscribe to one event or a whole category, and each event is posted to your endpoint as JSON, in the order it happened.

Alerts where your people are

A detection goes by email to the people subscribed to that camera, with its severity and snapshot, and by webhook to a messaging, SMS or dispatch system.

Monitors for patterns over time

A monitor checks recorded events on a schedule, such as more than five events on a camera within 10 minutes, or an expected event that did not happen. When it holds, it emails its subscribers and posts to subscribed webhooks, with the evidence for each condition.

Every delivery on record

Each webhook delivery is logged with its response and retries, retried when the endpoint has a transient failure, and resumed after a restart. The log exports as PDF or CSV.

The REST API covers the rest of the platform: content, search, metadata, users and sharing, under the same permissions as the interface. Native and API connectors for other systems are on the integrations page.

Why VIDIZMO

We speak takt, poka-yoke and 8D

Automotive plants lose money in a few predictable places: a missing or misplaced part found at end of line or by the customer, a launch that runs differently on each shift, stops nobody can explain, and know-how that leaves when experienced people retire. The platform addresses each one using the cameras and content you already have. That means assembly flags at the station with the clip, beside the error-proofing you already run; standard work that holds on every shift and at every plant; the minutes before every stop, ready for 8D; video work instructions translated into 11 languages, with a certificate of completion; and an audit-ready incident record. Processing runs on-premises, close to the cameras, so video stays on the plant network. Air-gapped sites are supported.

FAQ

AI for automotive, asked and answered

What does VIDIZMO do for automotive plants?

Assembly checks on the cameras you own, so a missing or misplaced part is flagged at the station with the clip. Video standard work keeps the same method on every shift and at every plant, and every camera is recorded continuously, so the minutes before every stop are on video for 8D and root cause.

Does it replace our error-proofing or torque monitoring?

No. Poka-yoke devices, torque tools and end-of-line test stay where they are. Camera checks add a visual check at stations where a camera can see the part, trained on footage from your line, and each flag arrives with the clip.

Can it check assembly across many variants?

Yes, where a line camera can see the difference. Models are trained on footage from your line for your own parts, variants and defect list, and each flagged unit is tied to a timestamped clip. Fine surface and dimensional defects stay with dedicated machine-vision stations.

How does it help a launch?

New operators learn from video work instructions recorded by the crew that runs the station best, with a quiz at the step that matters and completion tracked per person. The same material reaches every plant, and it can be translated into 11 languages.

Does it help with IATF 16949?

It contributes records to the work your quality system does: clips for 8D and CAPA, the standard to check against in layered process audits, and training records per operator. Certification and audits stay with you and your registrar.

Does it connect to our MES and quality systems?

Yes. Webhooks post detections, fired monitors and other platform events to your endpoints as they happen, and the REST API covers the rest of the platform. A detection can open a work order, raise a quality hold or create a record in the system that remains the system of record.

Does it work with our existing cameras?

Yes. Any IP camera, NVR or VMS that provides an RTSP or ONVIF stream, across lines, yards and docks, with no new cameras and no change to your VMS. You are alerted when a camera goes offline, so a gap in coverage does not go unnoticed.

Can it run fully on-premises?

Yes, and for live video analytics that is the setup we recommend, because processing close to the cameras avoids sending continuous video off site. Air-gapped sites are supported.

What works on day one, and what is trained for our plant?

PPE, restricted zones, fire and smoke work from day one, along with video SOPs, quizzes, completion records and cited answers from your documents. Your own parts, variants, defect list, forklift aisles and drift from your standard work are trained for your plant during the pilot, from footage and samples you supply.
