Hanwha Vision, formerly Samsung Techwin, supplies IP cameras and network recorders across commercial, industrial and government sites, with Wisenet WAVE as its video management system.

Recorded video is ingested from WAVE so footage that matters to a case comes under evidence retention and audit, and cameras are reached directly over open protocols for live analysis. WAVE stays in place as the VMS; there is no new hardware and no rip-and-replace of the security estate.

Hanwha Vision cameras and Wisenet WAVE record what each camera sees. VIDIZMO reads across all of them at once: live detection on every feed, an assistant that pulls the footage around any moment from WAVE and describes it, a record that holds up as evidence, and redaction before anything leaves the building. The cameras stay in place, and WAVE stays the VMS.

How it connects

There are two ways in, used alone or together. On the first, AI Live Insight connects to any Hanwha camera over RTSP or ONVIF, with the camera's address, stream path and credentials supplied at setup. The camera bitstream is recorded as the camera emitted it, in H.264 or H.265, and detections travel as a timed metadata track beside each recorded segment. Cameras with or without on-camera AI work the same way.

On the second, AI Intelligence Hub connects to the WAVE Server API. A user can list cameras, pull a recording by camera and time window and have the scene described, in plain English. Footage that matters to a case is imported into Nexus, where it comes under retention, audited access and chain of custody. Where the WAVE server is out of reach, an exported file is ingested instead, so a proprietary export still lands in the library.

WAVE keeps recording, configuring cameras and managing its own users throughout. Camera control and VMS user management stay with WAVE.

Hold the footage that matters in Nexus with a SHA-384 integrity hash, a chain-of-custody log and a retention schedule, beside body-camera video, call audio and documents.

Release a copy under FOIA, FERPA, HIPAA or GDPR obligations with Redactor blurring bystanders' faces and plates, an exemption code on each redaction, and the original untouched.

A scenario

  1. 19:42, parking cameraAI Live Insight matches an enrolled face and raises a High alert with a snapshot to the security desk by email and Teams webhook. Event-driven recording keeps the seconds around it.
  2. Same minuteThe alert clip lands in the library and triggers an AI Intelligence Hub workflow that pulls the last ten minutes from the two neighboring cameras through the WAVE API and adds a one-line description to the alert. The alert stands; context arrives seconds later.
  3. 19:46, east entranceA line-crossing rule on the entrance camera fires, and the event the Hanwha camera itself generated arrives through WAVE. Two independent signals on one subject now sit on one timeline, so the desk treats it as confirmed.
  4. 20:10The security manager asks, "Show me everywhere this person went between 19:30 and 20:00." The assistant lists the cameras, pulls the recordings from WAVE and returns a timeline citing each moment. The footage now sits in Nexus with a hash and a chain-of-custody log.
  5. Next weekCampus police request the footage and a records request follows. Redactor blurs bystanders' faces and plates, records an exemption code on each redaction and exports the copy. The original stays untouched.

What stays where

WAVE remains the VMS

It records, manages cameras and manages users. VIDIZMO products read streams and recordings; nothing is replaced.

No new cameras

Any Hanwha camera that streams RTSP or ONVIF works, including older models without on-camera AI.

Processing near the cameras

A GPU server on site runs detection and recording, so live alerts do not depend on an internet link. Evidence, redaction and the assistant run there too, in your own cloud, or air-gapped with self-hosted models.

Two orders, one conversation

Cameras and WAVE come from your Hanwha Vision representative; VIDIZMO licenses its software separately, and setup is configuration rather than a project.
