Microsoft Dynamics 365CRM and ERP
One Answer From the Customer Record and the Ledger
Dynamics 365 spans both sides of a business: customers, cases and field service on one side, finance and operations on the other. Connect it and AI Intelligence Hub reads a customer record and the financial record behind it together, beside the contracts and call recordings held in the library, and answers in one place with a citation to each. Documents held against Dynamics records are ingested and indexed with everything else. Dynamics stays the system of record on both sides.
What you can do together
- Ask AI Intelligence Hub about a customer and get the case history and the financial record behind it in one answer, cited to each record.
- Have the documents filed against a record ingested and indexed, so a question about what was agreed is answered from the document itself with a citation.
- Draft a reply to a dispute or a service request from the record and the recorded call, shown to a person for approval before it goes back to Dynamics.
- Run a workflow over new cases that pauses at an approval node before any step that writes back or sends something.
How it connects
Dynamics 365 publishes an official MCP server, and AI Intelligence Hub connects to it as an MCP client. The server is configured once with a name, URL, transport and the headers that carry its credential; its tools are discovered when the connection is bound. In a workflow, an MCP node runs one named tool with arguments fixed at design time. For an agent, an MCP tool hands over the server's tool list, and the agent chooses a tool and fills the arguments as it works. The connection carries the credential it is configured with, so what an agent can read in Dynamics is bounded by what that credential is granted there. Retrieval from the library alongside it still runs under the asking user's own identity.
Where a step needs something the MCP server does not expose, the HTTP Request node calls the Dynamics REST API. In the other direction, the platform's REST API and a workflow's HTTP trigger are the inbound paths, so automation on the Dynamics side can start a workflow.
An ingestion connector pulls the documents held against Dynamics records into the library, where they are indexed with everything else. Fitting the connector to your instance is integration work against the published API, done per engagement rather than as a product change. Customer and financial records themselves stay in Dynamics and are read at query time.

A scenario
- 08:15A customer disputes an invoice for a field repair. The service lead asks the assistant what was agreed on the repair and what has been billed. AI Intelligence Hub reads the customer record and the financial record through the Dynamics MCP server.
- Same minuteThe service agreement filed against the account was ingested through the connector and indexed in Nexus. The assistant quotes the relevant clause with a citation and puts the billing record beside it.
- 08:30The recorded call in which the repair was scheduled sits in the library. The assistant finds the moment the technician quoted the price and cites it.
- 08:45The lead asks for a reply drafted. The assistant drafts it, shows an editable preview and waits. The lead approves, and the reply goes back to the Dynamics case through the same connection.
What stays where
Dynamics remains the system of record on both sides
Customers, cases, field service and finance stay in Dynamics, and its own permissions decide what a query returns. AI Intelligence Hub reads through the MCP server and the REST API, and writes back only after a person has approved.
Documents and recordings sit in the library
The ingested documents and the recorded calls are held in Nexus under role-based access, audit logs and retention. Retrieval runs under the asking user's identity, so an answer cannot draw on material that user could not open.
Nothing is replaced
Dynamics keeps its forms, its workflows and its reporting, and the connector is fitted to what your instance exposes.
Processing runs where you deploy the platform
Shared or dedicated SaaS, your own cloud, or on premises. Reaching a hosted MCP server needs a network path to it.
