Integration brief InforCRM and ERP

The Inspection Report Beside the Work Order

This connector is not prebuilt. It would be built to your requirement against the published REST API and the workflow service, with scope and effort agreed per engagement. Infor builds industry-specific ERP for manufacturing, healthcare and public sector operations. Industry-specific is the operative word: what an engagement is scoping is one of several products with different interfaces, not a single platform, so naming the product comes before estimating the work.

What you can do together

  • Read a work order and its inspection report together rather than in two systems.
  • Confirm that the compliance evidence a record requires actually exists, and surface what is missing.
  • Ask one question across operational records and the paperwork behind them, with citations.
  • Establish which Infor product and where documents live before sizing the work.

How it connects

Operational records would be read over the API and the documents attached to them read alongside, so inspection reports, work orders and compliance paperwork are readable together rather than one system at a time. In an operations setting the documents are frequently the compliance evidence, which raises what is at stake: a work order closed without its inspection report is a finding waiting for an auditor.

A workflow could read an operational record and the paperwork against it, confirm that required evidence exists, and surface what is missing. Where a step writes back or sends something, a human-in-the-loop node puts a person in front of it first.

Infor stays the operations system of record. An engagement would confirm which Infor product and version is in use and how its documents are actually stored, because attachments held in the ERP and attachments held on a file share referenced by the ERP are two different integrations wearing the same description.

How it works InforCRM and ERP

A scenario

  1. ScopingThe engagement would name the Infor product and version and establish where documents actually reside.
  2. SetupThe connection is configured once against the agreed API.
  3. A shiftA workflow reads the closed work orders and checks each for its required inspection evidence.
  4. A gapTwo orders closed without reports are surfaced the same day rather than at an audit.
  5. ApprovalAny reminder or write-back waits at a human-in-the-loop node first.

What stays where

Infor remains the operations system of record

Work orders, assets and the operational record stay there.

Which product is in use decides the integration

Infor is several industry products with different interfaces, not one platform.

Where documents live changes the work

Attachments inside the ERP and attachments on a referenced file share are different integrations.

Writes wait for a person

A human-in-the-loop node comes before anything written back or sent.
