Integration brief GoTo MeetingConferencing

Sessions Transcribed and Kept With the Rest

This connector is not prebuilt. It would be built to your requirement on the ingestion path that already carries Teams and Zoom recordings, with scope and effort agreed per engagement. GoTo Meeting is a web conferencing service used for meetings and training. Training is the usual reason to connect it: a recorded session that is only ever a session has no shelf life, while the same recording in a governed library becomes material people find next quarter.

What you can do together

  • Turn recorded training sessions into material that is findable later, rather than a file nobody opens twice.
  • Search what was said in a session and open it at that moment.
  • Scope which sessions come across, so the library holds the ones worth keeping.
  • Hold the retained copy under access control, retention and an audit record.

How it connects

Recordings would be pulled in on the connector's schedule rather than on source-side events, so a session is picked up on the next run after it ends. Each would be transcribed and indexed, and held under the library's access control, retention and audit.

The pull would be scoped. An engagement would agree which accounts and session types are in scope, because a training recording and an internal catch-up have different value and pulling both indiscriminately makes the library harder to use. Where configured, the source recording can be left, moved or deleted after ingestion.

GoTo Meeting stays the conferencing service. Scheduling, hosting and its own recording are unchanged. An engagement would confirm the API access the organization's plan actually provides, since what a conferencing service exposes for automated retrieval varies by tier and that is the constraint most likely to change the estimate.

A scenario

  1. ScopingThe engagement would confirm what the plan's API provides, agree which sessions are in scope, and set the schedule.
  2. SetupThe connector is configured once, limited to the training accounts.
  3. After a sessionThe recording is picked up on the next run, transcribed and indexed under retention.
  4. LaterA new joiner searches a phrase and finds the moment in a session recorded months earlier.
  5. AuditThe record shows the material was available and who accessed it, which is what a compliance question asks.

What stays where

GoTo Meeting remains the conferencing service

Scheduling, hosting and its own recording stay there.

Ingestion is scheduled, not event-driven

A session is picked up on the next run after it ends.

Plan tier decides what is retrievable

What the API exposes for automated retrieval varies, and it is confirmed before scoping.

Processing runs where you deploy the platform

Shared or dedicated SaaS, your own cloud subscription, or on premises, with a network path to the service.
