Course Video Delivered Where the Credential Lives
This connection is not prebuilt. It would be built to your requirement on the LTI and SCORM capabilities the platform already carries, with scope and effort agreed per engagement. CrowdWisdom is a learning platform used by associations and professional bodies for continuing education and certification. The credential is the product in that setting, so the connection matters for where the record of learning sits rather than for how the video plays.
What you can do together
- Deliver video inside the CrowdWisdom course over LTI 1.3, so members stay in the course and results flow back.
- Import SCORM packages and deliver them from the portal, with attempts and time spent in its reporting.
- Map the LTI result onto how credit is actually awarded, so nothing is applied by hand afterwards.
- Keep membership, credit rules and the credential record where they already are.
How it connects
Video would be delivered inside the CrowdWisdom course over LTI 1.3, so a member reaches it from the course rather than from a separate portal, and results flow back. For an association that is the point: a member who watched material somewhere else, with the credit applied later by an administrator, is a manual reconciliation and a support enquiry waiting to happen.
SCORM packages would be imported and delivered from the portal where the content takes that form, with interaction data in the portal's own reporting, covering participants and attempts, average score and time spent. SCORM 1.2 and 2004 are carried. Packaging portal content out as SCORM for CrowdWisdom to host is a different capability and is not part of this record, so an engagement wanting that direction would scope it separately.
CrowdWisdom stays the learning and certification platform. Membership, the catalogue, credit rules and the credential record are unchanged, and an engagement would confirm how credit is awarded on its side so the LTI result maps onto it rather than sitting beside it. SCORM is an EnterpriseTube capability, so this belongs to a deployment carrying it.
A scenario
- ScopingThe engagement would confirm how credit is awarded in CrowdWisdom and how an LTI result maps onto it.
- SetupThe LTI connection is configured once so recorded sessions launch inside the course.
- A memberSomeone watches a session from within the course, and the result flows back.
- CreditThe award follows the mapping agreed rather than an administrator applying it later.
- RenewalThe member's credential record in CrowdWisdom reflects the learning without a reconciliation step.
What stays where
CrowdWisdom remains the learning and certification platform
Membership, catalogue, credit rules and credentials stay there.
Credit mapping is confirmed, not assumed
How an LTI result becomes credit on its side is agreed in the engagement.
Export as SCORM is a separate capability
It is not part of this record, so that direction would be scoped on its own.
SCORM is an EnterpriseTube capability
The connection belongs to a deployment that carries it.
