Adobe Analytics

Report portal viewing activity into Adobe Analytics. Visit website

Adobe Analytics is the analytics product in the Adobe Experience Cloud, typically run alongside Adobe Experience Manager.

Viewer activity is forwarded into it, so video engagement joins the same reporting suite the rest of the digital estate is measured in.

Reach Adobe Analytics Reporting From a Workflow or an Agent

Open as a two-page brief

Adobe Analytics is the analytics product in the Adobe Experience Cloud, typically run alongside Adobe Experience Manager. Adobe publishes MCP servers for Analytics, and AI Intelligence Hub connects to MCP servers as a client, so an agent can query reporting with configuration rather than development. Adobe documents that work as early and offers it without warranty, so treat its tool surface as liable to change. Forwarding viewer activity from Nexus into Adobe Analytics is the other half, built to your requirement per engagement on the third-party analytics path the platform already carries.

How it connects

The MCP connection is configured once in AI Intelligence Hub with a name, the server URL, the transport and the HTTP headers carrying its credential. Streamable HTTP, Server-Sent Events and WebSocket are the transports carried. The tool list is fetched when the connection binds rather than coded in, which is how the connection absorbs a tool surface that changes. In a workflow, an MCP node runs one named tool with arguments fixed at design time; for an agent, the MCP tool hands the model the server's tools and the model chooses when to call them. What either reaches in Adobe Analytics is decided by the token carried in those headers.

Forwarding is not prebuilt for Adobe Analytics. Built per engagement, it would send playback milestones rather than page views alone: play, pause, seek and completion, plus quarter points at 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent. That is what would make the data useful rather than merely present, because a play count says little and how far viewers actually got says a good deal.

What an engagement settles is the mapping, and it is more consequential than it sounds. Adobe Analytics has its own schema of report suites, dimensions and events, and forwarded video activity would have to land in fields the organization's existing reports already use, or it becomes a parallel set of numbers nobody includes. That mapping is agreed with whoever owns the reporting. The platform sends the events and does not configure goals or funnels on the far side.

The platform keeps its own analytics regardless. Per-item analytics in the portal carry what a forwarded stream would not, including viewer identity, the engagement heatmap, embed locations and playback quality.

What you can do together

  • Query Adobe Analytics reporting from an agent in AI Intelligence Hub through Adobe's own MCP server, with no connector built for it.
  • Run one reporting tool as a fixed step in a workflow, or hand an agent the server's tools and let it decide when to call them.
  • Keep video's own analytics in Nexus, with viewer identity, the engagement heatmap, embed locations and playback quality per item.
  • Scope forwarding per engagement, so playback milestones would land in the dimensions your existing reports already use.

A scenario

  1. SetupAn administrator adds Adobe's Analytics MCP server to AI Intelligence Hub with a name, the URL, the transport and a token in the headers. The tool list appears at bind.
  2. A questionA marketing lead asks an agent how last month's campaign pages performed, and the answer comes from the report suite through Adobe's tools.
  3. A workflowAn MCP node runs one reporting tool with fixed arguments, so the same query returns the same shape of result each time.
  4. The video sideThe same lead opens a product video's analytics in Nexus and sees where viewers dropped off in the engagement heatmap, and which sites embed it.
  5. ForwardingThe team wants video engagement inside the report suite itself, so forwarding is scoped per engagement, with the report suite and dimensions agreed with the reporting owner.

What stays where

Adobe Analytics remains the reporting suite

Report suites, dimensions and the organization's reports stay there.

Adobe's MCP work is early and offered without warranty

Its tool surface can change, which the connection absorbs because the tool list is fetched at bind, and the configured token bounds what an agent reaches.

Forwarding is built per engagement, with the mapping agreed

Activity landing in unused fields would become a parallel set of numbers nobody includes.

The platform's own analytics continue

Forwarding would add to them rather than replace them.

Bring an MCP server

If the system publishes a Model Context Protocol server, AI Intelligence Hub connects to it as a client with configuration alone.

Define a REST endpoint

Describe your endpoint and it becomes a node in an agent workflow, without waiting on our roadmap.
