Enterprise Video Platform
Enterprise Video, Hosted, Streamed, and Actually Findable
Video accumulates faster than anyone can watch it, and the useful minute is always inside a file nobody labelled. An enterprise video platform hosts it, streams it to whoever should see it, and makes every spoken word searchable.
The video lifecycle
Trusted where the stakes are high

Pick your world, see video start working

What You Get
What a real video platform buys you
Live, and everything around it
A broadcast runs with its audience in the room: late joiners rewind while it is still going, and questions are handled without a second tool.
Record without installing anything
Screen, webcam and microphone captured from the browser with layout switching mid-recording, published straight to the library.
A broadcast becomes on-demand by itself
The live session is recorded on the publishing point and lands as watchable content, so nothing has to be captured and re-uploaded afterwards.
On-demand that plays anywhere
Everything is transcoded to streaming renditions on arrival and adapts to whatever connection the viewer is on, with a fallback when neither manifest is available.
Delivery that spares the network
An all-hands reaches a whole building without every desk pulling its own copy across the WAN.
A player you actually control
Branding, behaviour and where it is allowed to appear are yours, and links can be made to expire or be tied to one recipient.
Search that reads and listens
Ask for a phrase and get the minute it was said, not a list of files that might contain it.
Every language and every viewer
Quality can be checked per language before you commit, and viewers set the captions to whatever they need to read them.
Deployed where policy requires
Processing runs inside your boundary by default, delivery reaches regions many platforms cannot, and nobody is tracked or advertised to.
How It Works
From capture to audience
Capture or bring it in
Record screen and camera from the browser, take an RTMP feed from an encoder, pull recordings out of the meeting that made them, or drop files into a watch folder. 300+ formats ingest as they are.
Process it on arrival
Transcoding to streaming renditions, transcription benchmarked across 82 languages, object detection, chaptering and summaries, so the library is searchable by what was said and shown rather than by filename.
Deliver it to the right audience
Live or on-demand, adaptive to the viewer's connection, through portals, embeds and expiring links, with eCDN and multicast keeping a large internal audience off the WAN.

FAQ
Enterprise video, asked and answered
What is an enterprise video platform?
A system for capturing, hosting, streaming, managing and searching an organization's video in one place, under its own access and retention rules. It differs from a consumer video site in that access follows your identity provider, content is not monetized or tracked by a third party, and the archive is searchable by what was said and shown.
How is it different from Microsoft Stream or YouTube?
Deployment and reach. It runs in your own environment where policy requires, including on-premises and fully air-gapped, and delivers to restricted regions such as China. It is strictly ad-free with no third-party tracking, and you control the player, the domains it may appear on, and how long a link stays valid.
How many people can watch a live stream?
A single broadcast has been run to 20,000 live participants in production. Built-in peer-to-peer eCDN and on-premises multicast keep a large internal audience from saturating the corporate network.
What about latency on a live stream?
Adaptive delivery is over HLS with MPEG-DASH where a DASH manifest exists, and RTMP ingest from an encoder. How low the latency goes is a property of the streaming server the deployment is configured against, so it is set per deployment rather than fixed by the platform.
Can we record without installing software?
Yes. Screen, webcam and microphone are captured from the browser, together or separately, with layout switching between screen-share and camera during the recording, and the result publishes straight to the portal library.
Does a live session become on-demand automatically?
Yes. Recording is initiated on the publishing point and the session becomes watchable on-demand content in the portal, so there is no separate capture-and-upload step afterwards. Viewers joining late can also rewind within the live stream.
Is it accessible?
A VPAT is published. Captions are supported in eight formats, controls are keyboard-operable, screen readers are supported, and viewers can adjust caption size, colour, font and position. Live captions are carried through when the source supplies them; they are not generated in flight.
Can we migrate off our current platform?
Yes. A pre-built Kaltura migration app moves content with its metadata. Other platforms are handled through bulk ingest and the API, with metadata carried across rather than retyped.
